Dec 2018 Acquisition of an LPG distribution business in Madeira and the Azores
The firm has advised the Portuguese subsidiary of a French group in the purchase from a major oil company of its LPG bulk (reticular) and cylinder storage, marketing and distribution business in Madeira & the Azores. The transaction was structured as an asset/business sale. Completion was delayed by more than one year while the parties sought clearance from local competition authorities, negotiated transitional arrangements, identified the assets to be transferred and organized the IT migration.
